What Popeyes says
A report from October 2022 quotes the Popeyes UK website as saying: "All of our chicken is Halal and we have certification from the Halal Monitoring Board." The same report says the breakfast menu is not halal, and quotes a Popeyes representative: "We don't serve chicken at breakfast, but our chicken served with our daytime menu remains Halal."
We could not open the Popeyes UK website ourselves, so this is the company's wording as reported by Feed the Lion. It is more than two years old, so check the current wording and the certificate in your branch.
What the statement does not say
It does not say whether the birds are stunned, whether every item on the menu is halal, or whether alcohol or pork is served at a given branch. Those can differ by branch.

If you only eat unstunned chicken, ask which certifier the branch uses — see stunned meat.
How to check a branch
Halal status can differ from one branch to the next and can change. Check the brand's own restaurant finder or allergen and halal page, look for the certificate on display, and ask staff which items are halal and how they are cooked.
