KFC runs a halal programme in selected UK restaurants, usually in areas with large Muslim communities. Those branches use halal-certified chicken and display their certificate.
Other branches

How to check a branch
Halal status can differ from one branch to the next and can change. Check the brand's own restaurant finder or allergen and halal page, look for the certificate on display, and ask staff which items are halal and how they are cooked.
Is KFC halal in other countries?
KFC's halal status is decided country by country, and often store by store.

How to check your KFC
- Look for a halal certificate on display, with the certifier's name and dates.
- Check the certifier's own website for the store. In the UK, KFC's halal branches have been reported as certified by the HFA.
- Ask which items are halal. Some promotional or limited-time products may not be.
- Don't rely on a missing bacon or pork item as proof. A no-pork menu is not the same as halal certification.
