Is Flora Halal in the UK?
We checked the ingredient lists of 3 Flora products sold in the UK: 0 had no haram or doubtful ingredients, 3 had doubtful ingredients and 0 contained haram ingredients. Halal status varies by product and by country, so check the specific product.
Based on ingredients, not on brand-wide halal certification.
What we found about Flora and halal
Flora's spreads are suitable for vegans. The brand became fully plant-based in a 2019 relaunch of Original, Light and Buttery, and retailer listings describe Flora Original as certified vegan by The Vegan Society. We found no halal certificate for Flora.
Flora Dairy Free is made on a separate process for people with a dairy allergy. Because the spreads contain no animal ingredients, the halal question is limited to flavourings, so check the list on the tub.

Why products are flagged

| Emulsifier (source not stated) | Doubtful | 1 of 3 |
Is Flora vegetarian or vegan?
Of the 3 Flora products we checked: 2 labelled vegan and 1 with no vegetarian label and no meat or gelatine listed. Whether a product is vegetarian depends on the product, so check the pack for a vegetarian or vegan label.
