Is Perfume With Alcohol Halal?

Quick answer Scholars differ

Many contemporary scholars permit wearing perfume that contains alcohol, because it is not being drunk and the alcohol in perfume is usually synthetic or industrial, not wine. Others consider alcohol impure and prefer alcohol-free perfume, especially for prayer. Alcohol-free attar and oil perfumes avoid the question.
