What we found about Aptamil and halal

Nutricia, the maker of Aptamil, marks suitability on each product page. Its page for Aptamil First Infant Milk (800g powder) carries a Halal label. The page explains that only products with Kosher approval or Halal certification are identified, and that some products or variants may not be suitable.

The range is not uniform. The Aptamil Pepti 1 page says it is not suitable for a vegetarian or halal diet, and that UK kosher approval notes it is processed with a pork trypsin enzyme that is not present in the final product. Check the page for the exact product, since formulas for special medical needs differ from standard infant milk.
